Tired - 疲れている

The surgery took more out of me than I counted on, I am still very tired after a month of recovery. However, with some judicious self control I have only gained back about 5 of the 15 pounds I lost. Not bad. I am looking forward to having a bit more energy though. I am also using the time to catch up on Amateur (ham) radio things, I haven't really done much with it for the past 16 years, so I figured its time to get active again, dust off the old morse key, and have some fun building some projects again. またね

Gall Bladder

Well, overall, I am feeling pretty good, my innards are still letting me know that they are not happy having been cut open and a piece removed, however I have had no repetitions of the hideous pain I was having before, not only that I haven't experienced any real gut aches since the day before the surgery, so overall things are looking up. I lost 15 pounds in the week following surgery and have only gained back 4 so far, this is good, but I am not holding my breath that it will stay off. At this point, the loss of 14 more pounds would make a total loss of 100 pounds.... I am getting closer to looking like I did in the photo in my profile, hair a little thinner, mustache is gray, heading to white, but I can live with that. Yee - haw. またね

November 11

Well, it is now November 11th and I am feeling pretty good, played hooky from church this morning (yeah, I know, bad boy....) we watched the Remembrance Day ceremonies held at the cenotaph in front of the Legislature buildings. It is important we stop and think, and thank those who served, many giving their lives so that we wouldn't have to worship at the feet of Der Fuhrer. Because of them we have the rights we do. Without them, our medical professionals would doubtless be very "constrained" in what they could do and who they could help and how, and that is probably an understatement. If you enjoy the life you live in our western world, thank a vet, it's because of their selfless service that we are free.
